Most frequently asked questions about the cook-off:

How much should I make / what should I bring my chili in? Bring your award winning chili in a slow cooker – most have a “keep warm” feature.

Do I need to bring cups or things to help serve it? Only thing you need to bring with your award winning chili is a serving spoon (please don’t forget that – we won’t have extra).

What time should I arrive? Drop off will be between 3:30 and 4:15. You can leave your award winning chili with me and the other chilis while you go home to get camera ready for your podium pictures.

Do I need to provide a vegetarian version? Make whatever version you think is a winner! Can’t wait to taste all the entries!

Should I bring my own beverages? We’ll have bottled water. If you’re looking for something more exciting, bring them along with you!

What do I get if I win? Mantua fame, 365 days of bragging rights, and the trophy, with your name engraved as the 2026 winner. It has been known to reside on the living room mantels of past winners. You want this trophy. I’ll post a picture in comments.

What else should I know? We will provide all the “regular” fixings + tortilla chips for days. If there is something unique (not on the signup genius) that you want to offer people to top your chili, feel free to bring!
